Whilst our lawyers work hard and take pride in their work we don’t judge their performance based on the amount of billable hours recorded. We don’t believe in “appearance time at the office”. There will be times when client’s instructions require additional hours during the week or weekend work, however, we recognise the increased workload as an extraordinary effort and not normal and we will endeavour to give individuals a break to rebalance. We value a balanced lifestyle and if lawyers are experiencing a quiet period and no other member needs support, we encourage our team member to finish early for the day. We appreciate the times when work has been demanding and understand the sacrifices that have been made and now require re-balancing.

We also understand that to achieve a balanced lifestyle we had to create a team orientated culture to remove the pressures faced by many lawyers working as individuals trying to achieve client’s objectives within a limited time frame and budget.

INCORPORATED LEGAL PRACTICE

We are an incorporated multi-disciplinary legal practice where the emphasis is on providing the best possible outcome for our clients. There is no hierarchy of partners, senior associates, associates, lawyers, and consultants. One of the major benefits of being an incorporated legal practice is that unlike the traditional partnership structure all employees whether lawyers, managers, or professional support staff and clients have the opportunity to become shareholders in Titanium Lawyers. There is no 3-7 year wait to be promoted to an equitable partner. With a medium term view of achieving listing requirements and floating on the Australian Stock Exchange and the London Stock Exchange, the law firm is focused on the company’s overall long term performance to create shareholder’s wealth. This strategy will not only reward loyalty to our team members and clients but allow all shareholders to continue to be rewarded in retirement. We aim to have team members and clients as major shareholders.

In addition, being an incorporated legal practice, Titanium Lawyers will establish a Board of Directors with a wide range of backgrounds focused on creating shareholder wealth in the long-term. Instead of the traditional legal practice structure where partners may focus on short term financial objectives, Titanium Lawyers will be able to re-invest earnings and raise capital to grow the company with a view of increasing the value of the shares. Each team member will have the opportunity to participate in an employee share and option plan.

OPPORTUNITY TO WORK IN VARIOUS OFFICES

With a view of opening offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, Adelaide, London, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing and New York to service our global clients there will be opportunities for lawyers to work in various offices or deal with international colleagues on international transactions and multi-jurisdictional issues. We aim to send lawyers interested in travel on secondment to overseas offices to establish and build relationships and gain experience in other jurisdictions, legal systems and cultures.

We strongly believe one of the most effective methods for continuing professional development “CPD” is working in a team with other lawyers in the firm designed to gain invaluable experience and exposure to a diverse range of practice areas and best practices. Working in teams promotes interaction, learning and support between our junior and senior lawyers and results in constructive feedback to ensure each lawyer is achieving their true potential. We are committed to developing our team’s skills throughout their career and encourage participation in courses, seminars, workshops, lectures, conferences, informal discussion groups and online training. We also focus on developing each lawyer’s skills such as time management, communication, marketing and delegating to compliment their legal knowledge. In return, we aim to have one of the highest retention rates in this industry. Each new team member will be assigned a mentor in the first month as part of our induction program to ensure they familiarise themselves with the firm, the support network available, professional standards and compliance to maintain the company’s high standards.

EQUITY OWNERS

One of the major benefits of being an incorporated legal practice is that unlike the traditional partnership structure all team members and clients have the opportunity to become shareholders in Titanium Lawyers. With a medium term view of listing on the Australian Stock Exchange (“ASX”) and the London Stock Exchange, the law firm is focused on the company’s overall long term performance to create shareholder’s wealth resulting in all shareholders being rewarded as the company’s earnings per share increases. Prior to listing on the ASX, the company’s share structure will be determined with loyal team members and clients becoming majority shareholders in the listed company. We aim to recognise the valuable contribution of each team member and reward them with shares in the company prior to listing. Each team member will have the opportunity to participate in employee share and option plans. Preference will also be given to loyal clients and team members when issuing additional shares and/or options prior to listing.

TAILORED REMUNERATION PACKAGES

We offer all team members the opportunity to structure their remuneration package with a certified accountant to help meet each individual’s unique circumstances ranging from income protection insurance, health insurance, life insurance, superannuation strategies, maternity provisions, child care and school fees. In addition to annual leaves, sick leave and other statutory requirements we offer study leave for CPD and “sabbaticals” for up to three months. We also offer relocation costs for team members joining our firm from overseas or helping establish our overseas offices.

ONCIERGE PROGRAMME

As Titanium Lawyers grows, we aim to introduce a concierge programme which will benefit all team members. This programme will consist of a dedicated concierge offering a range of services to our team members that would normally be done outside of work to help each individual maintain a balanced lifestyle.
